Wedding photography and videography, as an industry, has pretty much been shuttered for the best part of this year. We thought we’d write a few words to wish everyone well now that the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be appearing. 2020 has formed a truly unprecedented series of events for our wedding clients. It’s not like organising weddings is a stress free experience in the first place. Hopefully we can all now start planning for a little normality. Everyone’s calendar has been flipped on it’s head, not just for now but for quite a few months into the future.

With this in mind, we’d like to say to you all that we have spent the last few weeks building in as much flexibility into your bookings as we possibly can. All UK wedding venues were closed in March following the initial government guidelines. These will begin to open their doors soon in some kind of symmetry with the reopening of retail on June 15th. We want to assure you that everything that we can do to enable your wedding day to bounce back is being worked on behind the scenes – everything from hygiene and distancing considerations to composition alterations and equipment choices that will still enable the very best wedding photos. If you have bookings with L&B that have had been directly affected by the pandemic, you will have already had telephone contact from us to talk through all your available options for rebooking cancelled venues and replacing with dates a little further into the future.

To everyone else, we’d like to say we are well aware that the wedding enquiries that come in for the future weeks and months might not be quite standard. As all industries will have to bend, stretch and develop new ways of working, we are here to help. If you have any questions for us regarding a future wedding photographer booking, we are more than happy to answer all your questions no matter how out of the ordinary.
